Unemployment/underemployment
UNEMPLOYMENT AND UNDEREMPLOYMENT IMPACT LGBTQ+ COMMUNITIES AT DISPROPORTIONATE RATES—WE’RE HERE TO CHANGE THAT.
At FreeState Justice, we recognize that stable, affirming employment gives LGBTQ+ Marylaners the financial security they need to live authentically. But with LGBTQ+ — especially trans and BIPOC members of our community — facing systemic barriers to fair employment and income stability, this security can be hard to come by. Whether you’ve experienced discrimination at work, are struggling to access benefits, or are trying to find employment after incarceration, we’re here to help.
