Applying for public benefits like SNAP, Medicaid, housing assistance, and more can be confusing and overwhelming. FreeState Justice provides one-on-one support to help LGBTQ+ individuals understand eligibility and complete the documentation necessary to receive these resources.

Court Accompaniment & Legal Advocacy
Whether you’re facing a name change hearing, housing dispute, or family court matter, FreeState Justice can provide court accompaniment and trauma-informed support throughout the legal process. We believe no one should walk into a courtroom alone if they don’t want to, and our legal professionals are here to provide you with the support you need every step of the way.
Safety Planning & Emergency Resources

Re-Entry Services for Formerly Incarcerated Individuals
LGBTQ+ communities are disproportionately impacted by incarceration. FreeState Justice offers re-entry support for formerly incarcerated community members, including help navigating housing, employment, and healthcare systems. We also offer record expungement services to remove legal barriers that make re-integrating into society even harder.
